In 1992, the waste treatment and storage platform in Caorso (PC) was acquired, later declared a Local Unit, of the company Furia Srl..
With the acquisition of the Furia plant, the company specialised in handling the main types of industrial waste such as slag, ash, chemical-physical sludge, polluted soil, sludge as well as a considerable amount of other waste.
The company handles a total amount of waste of about 223,000 tonnes per year in the plant, as per the Integrated Environmental Authorisation.
The product is processed and packaged according to the end user, in compliance with the best available techniques and the laws in force. Production is either directed to the best European incinerators for energy recovery, or directed to inert material recovery and ultimately to landfills.
The company holds the authorisation of 2 mobile plants, to carry out the treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste for recovery or disposal. The first plant is licensed for 238,000 tonnes/year of both solid and liquid waste through treatment and chemical dewatering processes. The second plant is authorised for 300,000 tonnes/year of waste through screening and shredding processes.
